Your only purpose to me was just to make time fly by faster, just another distraction to keep my mind off him.

It’s funny how history repeats itself. The fact that something I wrote over 4 years ago, is still relevant today. The only difference being— the “you” now, wears a different face, but they all treat me the same. They all disappoint me just the same. Why must these people gravitate towards me? The ones that unintentionally take advantage of my big and selfless heart? The ones that make me fall in love with them with no warning and leave me, just the same.

I’m not sure what else to say— I guess I should say at least this:

Being vulnerable is taking a risk— a risk of falling into the unknown in hopes that they’re there to catch you before you hit the ground even though, you’re well-aware you may get hurt. I know it’s tough. I’ve been there, done that. Starting new with someone new is exhausting. Exhausting to the point where you don’t want to try anymore, but you haven’t stopped trying yet have you? Are you waiting for the one to come or the one to come back? Regardless, I wish you the best of luck. The beginning or relationships are always the most bumpiest of rides. Always remember to meet them in the middle and take turns taking that extra step. Efforts must be made and also reciprocated. I hope she treats you right. Better than I would’ve.
