I don’t regret letting you into my life. I don’t regret us. You were worth every second I sacrificed. For better or for worse— I learned how strong my love is and even though we aren’t together, I know now that I deserved more than you could offer.

I must admit I’ve been feeling a little lonely lately— especially at night when I have nothing to hug but the pillows I’m supposed to rest my head on. I wanna have someone to hold me and make me feel warm and safe. I want someone to look at me like how I’ll look at them with lust and desire. I want so much right now, but I can’t. I’m not ready. I’m not fully healed. And I can’t pretend to love someone for my own safety and security. It’s not fair to them...

Don’t look back. Don’t reminisce. Don’t check up on them. Look forward. Step forward. Move forward.
